Pre-requisites:
General knowledge of design and drafting concepts is helpful but not essential. Also familiarity with the use of a keyboard and mouse. An introductory session is available (usually on a one to one basis for those with no previous computer experience. Please ask for details of cost and availability of this additional tuition prior to the course start date.
 
Achievement:
On completion of the course, the candidate will be able to draw and modify a 2D drawing and produce a personalised project in addition to completing a final exam.

Learn to: Overview of Course Content :
·> Start AutoCAD, navigate the user
interface, access menus, dialog boxes, toolbars and on-line help, set parameters for a drawing session.
·> Create drawings files, open existing drawings, save changes to existing drawings and exit AutoCAD.
·> Use templates to create new drawings files that contain standard settings, customize AutoCAD drawing, calculate size of drawings area and use drawing aids.
·> Use layer to control the colour, linetype and visibility of objects in drawings.
·> Use display commands and control the view of objects displayed in the drawing window.
·> Use AutoCAD modify commands to simplify the drawing process, increase drawing productivity and logically structure and avoid repetitive drawing.
